The Crazy Mountains are a source of great pride among Montanans who depend on the pristine landscapes to recreate and earn a living. At an average height of 50 stories, the proposed industrial wind turbines will dwarf any structure in existence today, obstructing this iconic view and permanently scarring the landscape.
Visitors flock to our area for the scenic beauty and unparalleled outdoor opportunities only the Crazy Mountains and Yellowstone River can provide. But commercial wind development could permanently alter this landscape and trammel much of the area’s local charm by transforming the valley into an industrial site—harming our local economy along the way. What’s more, developers and county officials haven’t provided much information about the project or allowed residents the ability to voice questions or concerns.
