A wind plant in the Crazy Mountains would kill hundreds of birds while disrupting important wildlife through construction activity and ongoing operations. The site of the proposed project is near the Yellowstone River and close to vulnerable wetlands and streams, including Duck Creek.
Residents and visitors alike are enriched by our lands and wildlife populations. Yet, very little information about the project has been released to the public. Elk, moose, bears and over 30 at-risk Golden Eagles all call this area home. The Yellowstone River supports blue ribbon fishing and serves as a vital resource for family ranches throughout the valley. This wind plant could put all of this at risk.
